Shaping an Alternative World without Animal Testing

P&G Beauty & Grooming passionately believes that ending animal testing is a benefit for consumers, animal welfare and industries. P&G Beauty & Grooming has invested more than $250 million to develop more than 50 non-animal alternative testing methods. We have made enormous progress in assessing safety with alternatives:

  • We stopped animal testing of cosmetic products a decade ago - globally; years before this was mandated in the E.U.
  • By continuing to innovate, we are able to assess acute effects of new ingredients with alternatives only - globally, not just in the E.U. where this was mandated.
  • Today, more than 99% of our safety assessments are done with alternatives!

We are committed to continuing our key contributions in research to develop non-animal alternative methods which will ultimately permit the elimination of animal testing. Read more about our ongoing efforts, joining forces with our partners in industry, academia and global regulators. Read more »

This program also sought to evaluate if there was a change in attitude and behavior among these students about hand washing frequency. Learn more »
